Asana is a mature work management tool priced per user. Decuga is a flat-priced workspace for product and support teams that adds a service desk, change management and AI-written documents. A fair comparison of cost, features and who should choose which, with prices checked in October 2026.
Asana is a mature work management product. It is strong for cross-functional work in larger organisations: portfolios, goals, resource management, approvals and a very large catalogue of integrations. Decuga is aimed at teams that build a product and also support the people who use it. It puts sprints and a backlog, a service desk with a customer portal, change management and AI-written documents in one account, and charges a flat price for the account instead of a price per person. If your work is mostly campaigns, operations and company-wide planning, Asana may fit better. If your work is shipping software and answering the customers who use it, the comparison below is worth reading.
Asana charges per user. Its Personal plan is free for up to two people; Starter is $10.99 per user per month billed annually ($13.49 billed monthly), and Advanced is $24.99 per user per month billed annually ($30.49 billed monthly). Decuga charges per account: Free for up to 2 team members, Starter $7 a month for up to 5, Pro $28 for up to 20, and Business from $57 for up to 50. Customers who submit tickets through the portal are reporters, not team members, so they do not count toward those limits.
| Team size | Asana Starter | Asana Advanced | Decuga |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people | $54.95 / month | $124.95 / month | $7 / month (Starter) |
| 10 people | $109.90 / month | $249.90 / month | $28 / month (Pro) |
| 20 people | $219.80 / month | $499.80 / month | $28 / month (Pro) |
| 50 people | $549.50 / month | $1,249.50 / month | $57 / month (Business) |
Read the numbers fairly
Competitor prices are taken from each vendor's public pricing page in October 2026 and are billed annually unless stated. They change, so confirm on the vendor's page before you decide. Decuga prices are monthly, flat per account. A lower price is not the whole story: Asana includes things Decuga does not, such as portfolios, resource and capacity planning, and proofing, and a team that needs those should weigh them.
The two overlap on tasks, boards, lists, calendars and timelines. They differ on what sits around the task.
| Area | Asana | Decuga |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Per user, per month | Flat per account, with team-member limits by plan |
| Customer requests and tickets | Not in its plans; a separate product, Asana Service Management, covers service management. Forms turn requests into tasks. | Service desk included: tickets, intake forms, a customer portal, ticket-to-task links; SLA rules on Business |
| Change approvals | Task approvals and proofing on Advanced | Change requests with risk level, rollback plan, scheduled window and multi-approver sign-off (Business) |
| AI | Assistants and agents, with included requests per user and paid extra requests | AI-written PRDs, architecture documents, wireframe specs and decision memos, and an assistant that works across your tasks, tickets and changes |
| Planning | Portfolios, goals, resource management and capacity planning on higher plans | Sprints, backlog, velocity, epics, roadmap, goals and a workload view, depending on plan |
| Code and chat | 100+ integrations on the free plan; a large catalogue overall | GitHub and GitLab linking, Slack with an assistant, MCP for AI clients, webhooks; Jira and Bitrix24 importers |
Choose Asana when the work is broad and the organisation is large. It handles portfolios of projects, goals that roll up across teams, resource and capacity planning, and enterprise controls such as SAML single sign-on and SCIM provisioning on its Enterprise plans. Its integration catalogue is far larger than ours. If your teams already run on Asana and it works, a change has to earn its cost.
Choose Decuga when product delivery and customer support are the same story. A support ticket becomes a task on a sprint board, the task is linked back to the ticket, and a risky deployment goes through a change request with a rollback plan, all inside one account that has one price. It also suits teams that want AI to draft the documents (the PRD, the architecture note, the decision memo) rather than only summarise tasks, and teams that need to keep the cost predictable as the team grows.
There is no one-click import from Asana today, but if you are on a paid plan you can ask us to add a migration from Asana, and we will add it within a week. Either way, start small: bring one team's current work across, not everything. Pick the project template that matches your function (there are six, with their own vocabulary) and recreate your boards there. Decuga does have importers for Jira and Bitrix24 if part of your work lives there. Keep Asana for the teams it suits while you pilot, since the tools do not have to be replaced all at once. There is a one-week free trial of paid plans, no card needed.
