Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased through decuga.com by Decuga Technologies ("Decuga", "we", "us"). Please read this policy carefully before subscribing.

1. Free Trial

Decuga offers a 1-month free trial of the Starter plan for new accounts. No credit card is required to start a trial. The trial gives you full access to Starter features so you can evaluate the Service before committing to a paid plan.

We encourage you to make full use of the free trial period before upgrading. Because a trial is provided upfront, payments made after the trial period are not eligible for a refund solely on the grounds that the Service did not meet expectations.

2. Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle. We do not offer refunds or credits for partial months. If you cancel a monthly subscription, you will retain access to the Service until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free tier.

3. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for a full 12-month period at a discounted rate. The following terms apply:

  • Within 7 days of purchase: If you have not made significant use of paid features (as determined at our reasonable discretion), you may request a full refund. Contact [email protected] within 7 days of the charge date.
  • After 7 days: No refunds are issued for annual subscriptions once the 7-day window has passed. You will retain full access for the remainder of the annual period.
  • Cancellation mid-year: Cancelling an annual subscription does not entitle you to a pro-rated refund for unused months. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

4. Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan mid-cycle, no refund or credit is issued for the difference. The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and you retain access to your current plan's features until then.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that exceptional situations arise. Refunds outside the terms above may be granted at our sole discretion in cases such as:

  • A technical error on our part that resulted in a duplicate or erroneous charge;
  • Extended service unavailability (downtime exceeding 72 consecutive hours) that was caused solely by Decuga and not by a third-party provider or force majeure event;
  • A demonstrable billing error.

To request a refund under exceptional circumstances, email [email protected] with your account email, the charge amount, the date of charge, and a brief description of the issue. We will review and respond within 7 business days.

6. Refund Method

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer or bank. We do not offer refunds in cash, bank transfer, or any method other than the original payment instrument.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute. We encourage you to reach out to us first — most issues can be resolved quickly without a chargeback.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
